Appointed in January 2024, Tim Henshall is a part of High Commissioner, His Excellency Mbelwa Kairuki's UK team.

He is a highly experienced tourism marketeer :
 

• 20 years in African tourism industry.

• 40 years in marketing.

• Represented 13 different Africa destinations into the UK market. 

• Marketed 100+ individual properties and DMCs across Africa 

• Visited Africa more than 65 times, taking in 24 countries

• Visited many of the world's premier wildlife-focused destinations  (inc. Brazil, Costa Rica, Galapagos, Australia, India, Thailand, Malaysia. Antarctica) 

• Visited 109 countries in total, providing an excellent opportunity to compare and contrast experiences.

• Won 14 marketing awards for creativity; innovation; strategy and individual campaigns

Tim has frequently visited Tanzania and Zanzibar, taking in the vast majority of its national parks and major tourist attractions along the way.
