Kichakani Camp, an A&K Sanctuary, is a mobile Serengeti camp that moves with the
migration. The camp has now transitioned to its southern location, where it will
officially open on 8 th December and remain until 31 st March 2026.
This mobile camp shifts between two strategic locations within Serengeti National
Park, offering guests prime access to the Great Migration’s seasonal highlights: the
Mara River crossings in the north and the wildebeest calving season in the south,
when newborns fill the grasslands and predator activity intensifies.
Located just 15 minutes’ drive from Serengeti South Airstrip, Kichakani Camp
features an authentic safari atmosphere with exceptional guiding and close proximity
to wildlife, creating an immersive experience during one of the most dramatic
seasons of the Great Migration.
What the Camp Offers:
Classic Safari Tents: The camp features ten spacious, elegantly styled tents, each
with a private deck furnished for views across the plains. Every tent includes a king-
size bed, an ensuite bathroom with authentic bucket shower and vintage
washstands, plus the dedicated service of a personal tent attendant available at all
times.
Facilities: The open-fronted lounge and dining tents create a relaxed, social
atmosphere, complemented by a well-stocked bar. Just beyond lies the campfire
area, with classic safari chairs set around the flames, perfect for gathering,
storytelling, and soaking up the evening ambience.
