The Great Migration is Coming — Huge Herds Now Filling the Northern Serengeti

The migration is approaching the Sand river, giving all of Bushtops camps the heads-up that massive herds will be crossing the Mara and Sand rivers in the coming days/weeks.

Right now they are filling the northern plains of the Serengeti – and the numbers are simply huge! Between now and September – and maybe beyond, they will be criss-crossing the rivers between Bushtops Serengeti camps and Mara Bushtops, providing the show-stopper spectacle that makes the migration the greatest show on earth (lions and crocodiles playing especially dramatic roles!).

Celebrate 20 Years — Extended 4 for 3 Offer at All Bushtops Camps

As this is Bushtops 20th anniversary they have extended the 4 for 3 offer to all of their camps, for all new bookings to include September 2026. That means you get four days’ adventure – the ideal amount for most people – but pay for just three. You can see all of their offers here.

No Sharing — Every Guest Gets Their Own Private Safari Vehicle & Team

Every single visiting couple or family gets their own specially-adapted private Toyota Landcruiser 4x4, guide and spotter. Instead of jostling for space, this gives guests a truly exclusive experience. You can read more about this here: https://bushtopscamps.com/blog/what-to-expect-luxury-safari/

There is never a bad time to come on safari, with July/August being particularly popular due to the migratory herds. However September is one of our favourite options, with fewer visitors and (this year in particular) a very high chance of superb wildlife viewing around the migration. So maybe it’s time to stop reading, begin planning and start looking forward to a little Wild Luxury!
