A new bridge that has significantly improved connectivity to the Kogatende region with faster access to northern Serengeti has been opened by TANAPA.

The new bridge reduces the drive from Elewana's Serengeti Migration Camp to Kogatende from 113 kilometres to just 53 kilometres, making transfers quicker and more comfortable while opening up exclusive game drive routes, new bush breakfast and sundowner locations, and easier access to the wildebeest migration, Mara River crossings and potential rhino sightings.

Constructed over four months, the 45-metre bridge was designed to minimise environmental impact while supporting seasonal water flow. The project also created employment opportunities for members of the nearby Mugumu community during construction.

The new infrastructure enhances the overall safari experience by reducing travel times and giving guests more time to enjoy the northern Serengeti.
