Joud Zanzibar launches flagship beachbar, with top international host

Joud by the Sea Zanzibar has announced the launch of Drift Bar, its flagship beach bar and evening venue, opening late May 2026.
International DJ Patrick Chouchani (TRIX) joins as DJ & Music Curator. Drift Bar at Jambiani Kikadini on the south coast of Unguja. The programme includes four resident DJ sessions per week, Friday and Saturday brunch sets at Nomnom Bay, monthly full-moon beach events, and a curated guest-DJ calendar.
Drift Bar is the centrepiece of Joud’s food and beverage programme. The venue serves cocktails, Champagne, a curated wine list, and a selection of Premium spirits. The programme runs from sunset through to last orders, four nights per week, with TRIX in residency. The bar’s signature cocktails feature Zanzibari ingredients including cardamom, clove, cinnamon, and lemongrass.
TRIX also leads Friday and Saturday brunch sets at Nomnom Bay, Joud’s all-day diner. The signature Sunset Rituals concept anchors the weekly programming with a curated Organic and Afro House journey from chill to uplifting. A monthly Full Moon beach event and After Surf gatherings complete the calendar.
