Kili Villa and Rhotia Valley Lodge, two boutique properties on the Northern Circuit, have launched a new conservation experience and added new accommodation at both properties.

Human-Elephant Conflict (HEC) night drone experience

At Rhotia Valley Lodge in Karatu, guests can now join the lodge's Human-Elephant Conflict team after dark. Elephants from the nearby Ngorongoro Conservation Area often move onto farmland around the lodge at night.

The team uses drones to guide them back towards the forest, protecting both the farmers' crops and the elephants.

The programme runs in collaboration with the Ngorongoro Conservation Area Authority (NCAA) and guests see first-hand how technology helps people and wildlife live side by side.

Five new luxury tent suites at Rhotia Valley Lodge

Rhotia Valley Lodge has added five new luxury tent suites, with refined interiors, private timber decks and splittable double or twin beds. They include an interconnecting family suite for up to eight guests.

Two new villas at Kili Villa

Kili Villa, in the Kili golf estate in USA River near Kilimanjaro International Airport, has opened two new exclusive-use villas. Villa Kudu sleeps up to eight guests in four bedrooms, and Villa Chui sleeps up to six in three bedrooms.

Kili Villa is the ideal start and finish of a safari in Tanzania. Rhotia Valley Lodge is the best stop on the way to the Serengeti, close to Tarangire, Lake Manyara and the Ngorongoro Crater.
