Nimali Tarangire, the exclusive luxury lodge in northern Tanzania, will launch a live Africam on 15th October from the hide overlooking one of its waterholes, giving viewers a front-row seat to the action so they can see first-hand why Nimali Tarangire is such a special place to stay and should always be included in a trip to Tarangire and northern Tanzania.

Set on the edge of a seasonal riverbed, Nimali Tarangire sits on its own private concession bordering Tarangire National Park, an area renowned for its large concentration of elephants. There are no fences between the concession and the park, so wildlife moves freely back and forth across the open boundary. Guests enjoy all the drama of Tarangire with a far more exclusive, intimate experience than the park alone can offer. It is the kind of place where the safari doesnt start when you leave camp, it starts when you step out of your tent and unfolds throughout the day, right in front of you, whilst at the pool or having lunch.

The new camera is tucked away and overlooks the hide, one of the lodge's most atmospheric spots. Guests can walk to it themselves along a protected walkway, so there is no need to wait for a guide or a vehicle. Just head down whenever the mood takes you and settle in at the water' s edge.

Prefer to stay above it all? The same sweeping waterhole views can be enjoyed from the

lodge's raised deck, complete with its own firepit. Picture a sundowner in hand, the fire

crackling and a herd of elephants arriving to drink as the light turns gold.

When to tune in: Elephants can visit the waterhole at any time, day or night, so there is

always a reason to check in. Big cats are often seen in the early morning, thirsty after a

night's meal, or in the early evening, after a day of rest and before they set off to hunt.

Buffalo, lesser kudu, fringe-eared oryx and grants gazelle wander down in the day and

herds of migratory wildebeest, zebra, impala, hartebeest and eland are often seen. Every

visit is different and you never quite know who will turn up next.

The Africam gives the UK travel trade a new way to bring Nimali Tarangire to life for clients. Agents can tune in at any time, share the stream with travellers who are dreaming of Tanzania, and show them exactly what a stay here has in store.
