Serengeti Balloon Safaris (SBS) is delighted to announce the launch of our new

brand film – ‘Touching the Sky’. The film celebrates Serengeti Balloon Safari’s

incredible story since it was founded over 35 years ago by Tony Pascoe and Colin

MacKinnon who were true pioneers bringing ballooning to Tanzania for the very first

time.

‘Touching the Sky’, filmed, edited and produced by South African based company

Love Africa, captures the true essence of what Tony and Colin sought to create all

those years ago – A pioneering company seeking to offer the very best experience

possible creating memories people will never forget. For Colin and Tony and all the

SBS team, this film explains how SBS has grown from the dream of two, slightly

bonkers (!) Englishmen into a thriving Tanzanian company employing over 150

Tanzanian staff, which has trained the very first Tanzanian pilot and has even trained

Tanzania’s first ballooning examiner.

John Corse, MD of Serengeti Balloon Safaris commented;

“We are incredibly proud of this film which truly explains the rich heritage of our

company along with our evident passion and vision for the next 35 years!”

Please enjoy our film, may it transport you back to the time you flew with us or help

you dream of when you do!

The film also looks ahead to the future of what Serengeti Balloon Safaris can continue to bring to the Tanzanian safari industry and the precious natural world in which we fly. By continuing to support important conservation and wildlife protection schemes, community projects and personnel development goals, SBS wants to continue the bold dreams of Colin and Tony, taking the business forward in a sensitive and yet positive way.

What really comes across in the true heart of this film is passion – It was passion

that founded SBS against all the odds and today it is passion which drives each and

every team member to continue to deliver the pinnacle of what a balloon safari

means.

Asante – the Serengeti Balloon Safaris Team.
