Tanzania Tourism UK recognises private sector support via new logo

Tanzania Tourism UK has issued UK-based representatives of the Tanzanian private sector with a new logo, highlighting their invaluable contribution.

Tanzania Tourism UK (based out of the Tanzania High Commission in London) has enjoyed a highly successful first year of operations, creating a significant "buzz" around the East African destination.

But much of this success would have been impossible without the unwavering support of more than 20 agencies and brands in the UK, according to Head of Tourism Marketing, Tim Henshall.  "The support of the private sector has been vital. Rather than be a one-man-band, I'm coordinating the efforts of a team of twenty, with us all actively promoting Tanzania!"

Projects completed (with a zero marketing budget ) include :

  • Launch of a dedicated trade website (www.tanzaniatourism.uk).

  • 2 major fam trips (South and North) with 13 participants.

  • Roadshows at 3 venues with 40+ UK tour operators attending.

  • 20 trade emailers, with an average opening rate of 38%.

  • 130 news updates posted on website and on socials.

  • 3 regional trade dinners attracting 28 tour operators.

  • 2 new training videos for Ruaha and Nyerere.

  • Short-listed for "Best Stand for Africa" at WTM London (funded by TTB).

The new logo - which includes the line 'Key Partner' - is useable by all agencies and UK-based employees of Tanzanian tourism business who have actively supported TTUK during 2024.

Tim added, "I hope this is seen as a badge of honour, as well as a reward for their commitment".
