The Zanzibar Commission for Tourism (ZCT) is launching a high-impact outdoor poster campaign in the UK via London buses.

Starting 20th January and running for six months, the ad campaign will appear as a "full-wrap", meaning the entire bus carries the message.

The Visit Zanzibar branded bus will operate on Route 94, one of Central London’s most visible corridors, passing key tourism, entertainment and retail landmarks including Piccadilly Circus, Regent Street, Oxford Street and Marble Arch, before continuing west through Shepherd’s Bush to Acton.

More than 20 million people are expected to see the advertising over the period, with a realistic expectation that this will significantly increase enquiries. UK-based tour operators are therefore encouraged to ensure Zanzibar features more prominently in their marketing activities and on websites during this key period.

ZCT Executive Secretary Arif Abbas Manji said the UK remains a priority source market, with the campaign designed to expand long‑haul awareness, stimulate demand and support future arrivals and investment.

Launching the campaign, High Commissioner, HE Mbelwa Kairuki stated, “Through this initiative, we are proud to introduce Zanzibar to new audiences as a premium destination for culture, heritage and warmweather escapes, while strengthening the growing tourism partnership between Zanzibar, Tanzania and the United Kingdom."
