Essential Destinations have announced the arrival of a new fleet of solar powered boats at Lake Manze Camp in Nyerere National Park.

These eco-friendly boats are the perfect way to enjoy a peaceful meander through the calm waters of the lake, allowing you to listen to the birds' calls and get even closer to wildlife.

Each boat has two solar panels and two batteries for the electric motor. But don't worry - they still have a petrol engine as a back-up in case we need to go against the current or move a little faster.

Also their special low season rate has been extended into the high season.

Stay for four nights for the price of three, or opt to spend three nights in Lake Manze

and three nights in Mdonya to get one night free in Mdonya.
