The Kwakuchinja Wildlife Corridor, once declared abandoned by the Tanzanian government after decades of poaching and deforestation, is thriving — but our journey has only just begun.
The future of this critical wildlife migratory route, which links the Tarangire and Lake Manyara national parks, will be paved through continued collaboration with our communities, conservation partners and government agencies. At the heart of this new chapter is the Joint Monitoring and Protection Centre.
Our film, Guardians of the Corridor, created in collaboration with Black Bean Productions, chronicles this remarkable transformation — and the road ahead — through the voices of those who have felt its impact most: rangers, researchers, government officials, and community leaders who are redefining what conservation means in Tanzania. This is our story of hope, collaboration, and lasting change.
The film celebrates the establishment of the Joint Monitoring and Protection Centre (JMPC) — the first facility of its kind in the country.
