Mandhari Lodge - part of the Nasikia Camps portfolio has created a fully female hosted property - from walking guide, to room attendants, managers, chefs and more.

As owner, Donna Duggan explained, "This makes it one of the only female-run properties within Tanzanian tourism - highlighting the diverse skills of Tanzanian women".

Perched high on the Manyara Escarpment, Mandhari Lodge offers sweeping views of the Great Rift Valley, from Lake Natron to the Monduli Mountains and across Lake Manyara. True to its name, ‘Mandhari’ means ‘view’ in Swahili, and guests are rewarded with panoramic sights that dazzle from sunrise to sunset.

The lodge features nine glass-fronted standard suites and a romantic honeymoon nest suite, each designed with 100% locally sourced materials and an unwavering respect for the environment and history. The central gathering area is an open-eucalypt platform with handcrafted furnishings and woven accents, encompassing the reception, dining, lounge, bar, and swimming pool.

Explore the wilds of Tarangire, Lake Manyara, and Ngorongoro Crater, or stay close and indulge in the rich cultural experiences on offer, from traditional spa treatments and highland hikes to Swahili cooking classes and African drumming. Mandhari Lodge invites you to a soulful Tanzanian escape, where nature and culture intertwine seamlessly.

SPECIAL OFFER The lodge has a year round special offer of stay 3 nights, pay for 2 - this means the complimentary third night elongates your stay but does not expand your safari budget.

There are several lodge activities possible to utilise as part of your stay - bird walk, medicinal plant walk, swahili cooking lesson, mountain bike through farms and more.
