Nyumbu set to open their first lodge, in Kogatende from July 2027

Nyumbi have spent years showing guests the Serengeti from canvas. Now they're building somewhere to come home to between migrations. 

Coming July 2027 — Upeo Serengeti Lodge is indigenous, Tanzanian-owned and built by the same team that run Nyumbu Luxury Migration Camp — this isn't a flag planted on the Serengeti, it's ours.

Upeo is Swahili for "horizon" and Upeo Safari Lodge is Nyumbu Tanzania's first permanent lodge: eight decadent villas raised straight out of a granite kopje above Kogatende, where the view doesn't need a filter and the entrance doesn't give it away until the very last step.

Every Villa shares the same DNA: a standalone granite bathtub, indoor and outdoor showers, private infinity plunge pool deck and 180° views clean across the savanna, uninterrupted power and raw materials exactly as this land gave them to us. 

Five Standard Villas,  Two Honeymoon Villas with full butler service and a private boma dining deck for two. One Family Villa pairs two interconnected en-suite villas around a shared lounge — room enough for two adults and two children.
