Paradise-Wilderness add two new mid-range Serengeti properties

Paradise-Wilderness has expanded its safari portfolio with two new lodges in Tanzania: Africa Safari Serengeti Ndutu and Africa Safari Serengeti Kogatende.
Africa Safari Serengeti Ndutu overlooks Lake Ndutu, in the Ngorongoro Conservation Area, on the edge of the Southern Serengeti. Just 31km from the border between Serengeti National Park and Ngorongoro Conservation Area, Ndutu is an ideal base for witnessing the calving season of the Great Migration.
The camp has six tents with en-suite bathrooms and private outdoor seating areas. Facilities include a bar, lounge and restaurant. Comfort Tents offer a king-size bed, while Family Tents include a king-size bed and two bunk beds, ideal for families travelling together. Each tent includes a private patio with sweeping views across the plains towards Lake Ndutu, as well as a comfortable sitting area. Guests can unwind in the central restaurant and bar tent, a welcoming social space after a day on safari.
Known for its high concentration of game and remarkable predator activity, Ndutu becomes a major focal point of the Great Migration from late December to March, when thousands of wildebeest arrive on the southern plains to calve. This seasonal abundance attracts large numbers of predators, including lion, cheetah, leopard, and hyena, creating some of the Serengeti’s most dramatic wildlife encounters.
The surrounding wetlands, marshes, and natural springs retain water long after the rains, sustaining wildlife throughout the year and supporting the fresh grazing that draws migratory herds back season after season. The green season transforms the landscape into a lush expanse, with excellent opportunities for predator sightings along the open plains and muddy edges near the lake.
Africa Safari Serengeti Kogatende is south of the Mara River in the northern reaches of Serengeti National Park, about 26km from Kogatende Airstrip.
Within the Great Migration corridor, the lodge offers access to the famous river crossings between July and October. It has 12 tented units with en-suite bathrooms as well as a bar, lounge and restaurant.
It enjoys an exceptional location close to the Mara River Crossing, one of the northern Serengeti’s most iconic wildlife areas. Between July and October, the landscape transforms into a dramatic stage for the Great Migration, as vast herds of wildebeest and zebra gather at the riverbanks and attempt the crossing, under the watchful presence of crocodiles and big cats.
Outside of this season, the surrounding riverine woodlands and seasonal floodplains continue to sustain life, providing a reliable water source that attracts wildlife throughout the year.
Situated south of the Mara River, the camp lies within sweeping grasslands framed by low hills and striking rock formations. Open plains, dotted with scattered kopjes, create a classic Serengeti setting and offer excellent game viewing in every direction.
The lodge features luxury glamping and spacious family tents, each thoughtfully designed with en-suite facilities, comfortable seating areas, and private verandas overlooking the wilderness. At the heart of the camp, the dining and bar tent provides a warm and welcoming social space, while a swimming pool is planned to offer a refreshing retreat with expansive views across the Serengeti plains.
