A brand-new gate connecting the Wildlife Management Area (WMA) directly to Tarangire National Park opens on 15th July 2026, transforming access for guests staying at Nimali Tarangire. What was once a journey via the Boundary Hill entrance will be a new gate, just a short 10–15 minute drive from camp, making it significantly faster and easier for guests to move between camp and the park.
For trade partners planning itineraries, this is a real game-changer for ease and flow on the ground offering easy access to the beautiful Tarangire NP marshes and a smoother overall guest experience. It allows our game package guests the option of a morning in the Park and maybe an afternoon and sundowner in the Randlien Conservancy or a full Park day.

Nimali Tarangire offers 8 effortlessly elegant, tented suites, each with a private deck overlooking the riverbed and an en-suite bathroom. Two of the suites are designed for families, featuring two bedrooms with en-suite bathrooms, a connecting lounge area and a private plunge pool.
The camp sits on its own private conservancy, surrounded by the WMA and bordering the eastern edge of Tarangire NP. Easily reached by road from Arusha, it feels a world away from the everyday with vast, stunning landscapes teeming with life, from towering ancient baobabs and huge herds of elephants to a vast number of birds and plentiful game.
Tarangire National Park is one of northern Tanzania's most rewarding yet lesser-visited parks, known for having the highest density of elephants in the country and one of the largest elephant populations in Africa. Its skyline is dominated by ancient baobab trees, some estimated to be well over a thousand years old, which provide a vital water source for wildlife through the dry season. The park is also a haven for birdlife, with more than 500 recorded species, and during the dry season (June–October), Tarangire hosts some of the highest wildlife concentrations outside the Serengeti and Ngorongoro, as animals gather along the ever-flowing Tarangire River.
With the new WMA gate opening on 15th July, Nimali Tarangire guests now enjoy one of the quickest, most seamless routes into this exceptional park.
