Despite the ongoing rains, the number of tourists visiting Tanzania’s 22 national parks remained steady over the past year.
According to Mobhare Matinyi, the chief government spokesperson of Information Services, said that 1,451,176 tourists visited the country's national parks between July 2023 and February 2024. This figure has surpassed TANAPA's target of 1,387,987 in the 2023/2024 fiscal year.
Speaking at a press conference in the capital Dodoma, Matinyi stated that TANAPA is working tirelessly to renovate the roads damaged roads by the heavy rains.
